Apples
Average Shelf Life
- 6-8 weeks in the fridge (uncut, individually wrapped)
- 1 week at room temperature
How to retain them for longer:
- Leave your apples in whole form until you are ready to eat them to decrease the rate of oxidation and deterioration
- Submerge cut apple slices in a mixture of 1 teaspoon (5 ml) lemon juice per 1 cup (240 ml) water to slow browning
- Store apples in the fridge drawers to retain freshness for longer.
